Can any one give some example of the atmosphere setting of Mars? Much appreciated.

Do you mean as seen from space or when on the planet itself?

I want it to be realistic, so guess there is only one setting. Plus, I've been struggling to create the cloud on Mars, seems intriguing.

alright, after messing around for a while, this is my result.

This might help you... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atmosphere_of_Mars
Ultimately it is very thin, so its effects are subtle. You've got that right but need some of the falloff on the transparency at the edges. I don't do many planetary-scale scenes, so others here might be better placed to help, but I would certainly start by reading that page. It helps to know some of the real scales you're trying to replicate.

Just in case you haven't seen this, I found this hi res map:

I know this doesn't answer your question, but it's a 21k texture. I don't know which one you used.

I had done a quick atmosphere test. The planet has been resized to the proper radius and the atmosphere. The upper atmosphere has less thickness while a thicker haze remains present. The surface is just for reference.

I came upon this as well.

Thanks AP, I'll take a look at your file. Beside, Hannes I did use the texture map, I even downloaded the tile map from NASA and stitch them together.

The atmosphere turned out not too hard to mimic, but can any one help me to create the cloud on Mars, I attached the file for you guys as reference. THANKS
