I like those glass bricks.......... :)

Thanks ...they(image mapped) came with some model and seemed appropriate here... and synchronistically I got challenged by my brain to build one in Imagine...gonna see how the bricks look with actyal displacement. Look awesome in Deep Ex

I could post a clip with the image map of how they're done...any interest? It's just a default shader network with a merge and glass shader ans would work well if applied to the Y face of the displaceable cube I think

Nice interior, Bobby. Light from the lamps is great. The glass brick wall is very nice too, but from this angle it looks a bit flat. They are ~10cm blocks, I suppose. What if you put up another plane with the same image file 10cm behind it?

Thought of that and then I checked...they are solid objects so I thickened one up but the problem you get from any where but directly on is moire creeps in with the overlapping mortar parts which as part of the image map are glass as well. Mainly that's why I built a solid model with individual bricks and a separate mortar/came object
. Will do a test scene of it tomorrow but this is it so far...too bad about no caustics or the shadow wouldn't be empty.

Very nice interior!

Could it be, that the lampshades of the table lamps should be slightly less transparent?

The last one is very cool as well but the lawn looks a bit pale in my eyes.

D'oh yeah and I lost my tree shadows on the house as the sun was set to shine in the livingroom window and I forgot to lower the altitude when I changed it's position. Guess this gives me a good reason to re visit and tart up the veg....
