The lost arc

I wanted to take the Roger Dean/Avatar stuff a little further and created some new arcs in 3ds max. I made heavy use of the ivy generator and eventually got this scene.
Most plant models by Xfrog, (free) girl model by cg3dmodels, (free) boat model by Cadnav
Minor pw: just contrast, brightness and saturation.

By the way, I used the triple leaves textures I shared in the file sharing section. It helped a lot to make the trees look the appropriate size.

Like this one.
Those vines look like they function like spider webs. I fear for those birds and that may be a bad spot to stop for the night. Know you are going for a certain balance of light and shade and that lantern glow, but my reaction is to want to see the foreground shaded areas better. Makes me want to turn up the EV light.

Awfully nice and different. I agree about the light, a little more in the dark areas would be nice, though it may also spoil the eerie feeling. Perhaps raising the haze height from 2000 to 5000 will do some good?

Great composition. One of those your eyes explore for detail and are rewarded.I like the detail on forefront foliage, very accurate perception of lighting.

Nice image. I like the lighting as is.
Leaves more to the viewer's imagination.

Really nice image! Almost missed the person bottom middle of screen. Leaves give it an especially nice look of realism
