Inspired by a thread with fleetwood I got into massive fake stones and blended textures. This is what happened. Land Rover by Jochen. Cortadiera by Walli,  Yews XFROG freebies...C&C Welcome

Dune

It's pretty strange, but neat. I like the layout and mood, but if you want to make it more real, I'd work on those white splotches (?), add lots more grass in patches, and make the road less wild in texture. And add another layer of color over the rocks to give them more variety.

Thanks Ulco, as always good advice and stuff that is floating round my brain. I think the updates will await the new computer when it gets running...the dude who sold it to me seems a bit pre occupied with his real life(wife & kid) and hasn't replied to my virtual requests...sigh. Last thing he said was the the memory could be suspect and not the 5 yr old drivers. But the same problem on this computer has always been resolved by updating the video card drivers...sorry for the complaint relapse here....So I'll await the new box for a final attempt at this summit....
A fair bit of info online that confirms my suspicion that the out of date driver is causing the crash...am sending him the links...is that mean of me or am I just being helpful?

I quite gave up on it after playing for a few hours but learned some stuff in the process. The rocks are massive Fahestones are texxed with a blend of PFs and image maps, only partially successful but I will bash on with this when the new Corsair is up and running...as Dune said needs more pops of grass and work on the flat stones peeking thru the ground...need more bumping/displacement. was aiming for stones that are partially wind blown with the ground almost covering them. Will work on that as well.

Like this a lot. Great how you do those headlights!
If not too much bother, Will you please share a link or name the image you first did the headlights....think it was in TG4Beta era maybe.
Or just tell me again how you did the lights? ha!  I am after point light type, as in a street lamp.
Thanks in advance!

Simple really, use the spot light and you need atmosphere down at the lights level for it to show like that. I used a V2 cloud with no Density shader. The cloud is 2 coverage adjust and quite thin, .003 I think I used.
