Well I 'get' DoF now but my computer was working on this over night and yet it says much less(1:09) in the status. Anyone else have this happen in TG4 Pro?

I had a problem like this once and it was due to the fact that the picture used a lot of heavy objects and very profound GI. After rendering, it took Terragen another two hours to "switch the lights off" so to say... ::) Is this what you refer to?

The image rendered fully in 1:09 and I woke up at least 5 hours after that and woke the screen up with it saying rendering 1:09. So I did a scr grab and cropped it for here.  Then I opened it up again fresh and with no tweaks it rendered in the exact same time finished.
This should be posted in Image sharing but as it's a magical (no input on my part) problem resolution I decided to put it here.

Great image! Is that your birthday preset?

Sometimes even an calendar alert hangs mine up. Grrr I suppose I shall have to look at some settings again too.

I do not recall having this issue. Just the current lag issues at 80 percent on the GPU preview.

I suppose we will have to see what Planetside says about this.

I suspect my computer still isn't functioning properly, the tech dude is coming by this afternoon to resolve the remaining issues. Then we'll see.

Despite the glitch, it is a very good looking render. Nice job  :).

It looks like it froze. Given the issues you've been having with your computer and that we haven't had any other reports of this, I'm inclined to suspect it may be hardware and would want to rule out such problems before looking at anything else.

see post 10...he came by and tried fixing it here and wound up not even being able to boot up, a tad embarrassed he took it with him to work on at home...presumably where he could flip out and yell at it like we all do.
