Trying to do something quite different than the results I got, here is The Bog.
I know what I did wrong, but I still like the results.

APs Generic coniferous pine
Conifer2
pine2

Image 2 rendered a few days ago, same objects. Thanks for the shares!
Rendered both at micro 0.3, and AA 2

archonforest

I like the 2nd one. Nice winter scene.
Dell T5500 with Dual Hexa Xeon CPU 3Ghz, 32Gb ram, GTX 1080
Amiga 1200 8Mb ram, 8Gb ssd

ADE

first one is good...cept for the reflection of the left trees, seems to mess it up somewhat

Rumburak

Very nice. The second one is my favourite.

The trees in the foreground of Thebog.jpg could use some displacement. The bark is too plain imho.

Minor changes
Stretched the PF on the tree bark 1,10,10 with neg4 displacement. Transform input and PF on color and displace. It is just miniscule, but there is a difference when plugged into displace as well.

Dune

That looks pretty good, but I would reduce the noisiness on the water, either no waves at all or very slight. And/or use a reflection shader after the (no reflection) water shader with soft reflection (start with 0.002).

Agura Nata

I like both my friend, ell done  ;D

something borrowed,

Good stuff.

The photograph below will give a general idea as to what the water could look like.

I agree with Dune too but anyway nice stuff - good work so far  :)

No water

Not trying to fool anyone, but this was purely an accidental bonus. The noise in the water, is fake stone (grayish) and some grass. I was trying to put a little reflection on the stones and hooked the reflective shader as a child of the surface layer the stones are on. Up popped blue in preview...ha. I have a PF hooked in there too, learning density mask or trying, haha. So I had to see the render.

Thanks all for the help and comments! I may increase the size of stones or change color so they don't look like noise.
