Odd preview window bug

I'm not sure what exactly is going on, or if it's a bug or me doing something wrong, but I figured I'd post it and find out.

What's happening is, at complete random, both of the preview windows will mess up. First, the smaller one on the left (I can't for the life of me remember what it's called) will turn in to a kind of stretched 3D side preview thing, then shortly afterward, as I play with any of the settings of any of the shaders, the 3D preview window will maximize to the biggest it can get.

This hadn't ever happened to me on the free version, but now that I have regular Deep it is, if that helps at all.

ALT and left click/drag in the left preview will change it's orientation. You can also zoom and select and move the camera position in this preview. I find this useful some times when moving the camera.

The main preview may cahnge if you change the proportions of your render and then resize the preview window.  e.g. if the preview doesn't fill the entire width and you reduce the height of the render, the porportions of the render will change but it won't automatically fit to the preview area. If you resize the preview section vertically a little it will resize to fit hte new area as best as possible.

I've been seeing this happening as well.

since the last patch(0r at least its started since the last patch) its been doing this to me as well.
it freaks out out and acts as if it loses some depth and magnifies in some. its pretty much usless to use and hard to control...also if you save and reopen the file. it'll reset the camera but keep your info(things you've changed or made in the file.
It's quite strange really.

We haven't seen any of these effects yet. Can you guys give some specifics about your computer setups - operating system, CPU, RAM, video card? Also make sure you have the latest version of your video card drivers, of course.

Sorry for the late reply, I was away for a week...

My specs are:
OS: Windows XP Pro SP2
CPU: AMD 64 4200+ Dual Core (2.21 GHz)
Vid: nVidia GeForce 6800 XT PCI (Don't know the brand, though I'm pretty sure it's an EVGA)
1 GB RAM

I updated the video drivers not too long ago (within a month, I think,) but I'll double-check to see if there's a new update.

Edit - Yeah, I've got the newest drivers. They're the July 26th ones.
