I do not know how well the texture maps would look up-close but the polygons look OK, just not great.

It is good. I do not know what you were up to when doing the colours' choice but they are good. (First thought was Vanilla Sky).
In my opinion this image just needs size, not objects.

I love this. The silhouettes of the trees diminishing into the mist is beautiful. Sky Colour may be extreme but I suppose it somehow works.

Very cool image, but I have to say the purple sky just detracts from it IMO. I'd make it more blue and then increase Red Decay to get a more sunset look to the lighting. Other than that yes maybe some ground cover, and then it'd be really tops.
