I'm wondering about the slope constraints within Distribution Shader V4 01.

I've got a generally sloping terrain with small pot holes. Now, selecting by slope constraints gives we the entire slope, including the walls (sides) of the pot holes, not what I want. I am after selecting just the sides/walls of the pot holes.

Is there any way around this apart from creating an overlay/mask?

Could be handy if there were a slope distance settings in the slope constraints. That way one could select general sloping terrain or focus the constraints on smaller objects.

Hope to hear.

It depends how your pot holes are made. If they are part of the same function that makes the terrain then you can't separate them. If they are separate then there are ways of using the original function as a mask to get surfaces only on the walls of the holes.

The "Intersect Underlying" might have some relevance here. Other than that I think you'd have to use a mask as Efflux suggests. Controlling slope constraint sensitivity is a good idea, but I'm not sure how difficult it would be to implement.
