I dunno Seth, those are pretty darn good from what I can see! Especially the upper right 1/4 of the image. Nice shapes, shading and light. The water is rather noisy, but otherwise this is a great image (the new one - old one quite nice too).

the edges on the bases may be a little sharp? ... but the lighting in the clouds is excellent

Yes, I suppose it does have a "painterly" style, but that's not a bad thing either. The bottoms remind me a bit of mammatus clouds...
