I think the length ruler should read feets and go to miles at an appropriate ratio. "0.01 miles" doesn't mean much to me (and appears to be rounded because it doesn't change for feet when dozens of feet is transitioned it seems measuring), but when working on larger terrains, the miles indicator is really helpful. Just the same, meters still works, but I am often converting to feet for a perspective as I'm not as familiar with meters in my every day life as a US citizen.
