Don't ask why it's taken me this long to figure out why water never looked quite right to me in TG. It's the specular roughness! Water has a very glassy look to it naturally unless it's really rough... but even the texture doesn't look the same as it does with the "standard" amount of roughness in the water shader or reflective shader.... Sooooo I turned it way down. Feeling kinda dumb for not realizing this sooner lol. Durr.
