I just realized your PC is older, and probably doesn't even have HDCP, or it is not enabled (yes you can actually just disable it, I found). Glad you got it working.

I would suggest maybe looking into a new monitor! Though it is cool that that monitor is so nice, for it's age, with a 92% color gamut and supports most of CMYK color space.

Yes, maybe, but first an upgrade of the machine itself into a 3950X

The 1080Ti is working fine, but I do occasionally have this issue. Does anyone know what may cause it? Drivers are updated, so I suspect the cable (DP to DVI). Or perhaps settings on NVidia screen?

That's interesting, for sure. And the cable doesn't say anything about shifting the signal or anything? Maybe signal degradation from just poor quality materials?

I'm pretty sure it's the cable. Luckily it's only in explorer in some images (in the image screen on the right), and e.g. the color picker in Photoshop.
