Must be the trip to southern Utah, but I seem to be in a desert kind of mood lately.  I thought this rock turned out pretty cool.  Can't take too much credit, since TU's canyon preset is doing the heavy lifting here.  Just played with the underlying simple shapes and seeds a bit, and tried to add some water stains.

Looks really good anyway. Perhaps give it a little dimension by adding just a few clumps of shrub or grasses clinging to the rocks. And I would make a waterline, with some darkening and reflection.

Really like this, great long lens ...
Is there a way (maybe) to get the strata on the rock to go the opposite direction for contrast?

Amazing displacement detail on the rocks, I must say. Great work there.

Beautiful rock, I like the feeling of immensity !

Here's another version.  I changed the angle of the background strata to try to give some more contrast with the foreground, and added a little grass and a bit of a waterline.

The changed the of the background strata does its job very good! Like the POV! Good Work!
