Hi everyone, I hope this is the right section. If not, please tell me where to post this question..
As you can see in the tgd attached, I have a map (combination of 2 simple shape shaders) that gives me a sort of road/path.
I also have a pf with a pattern that I would love to follow this path... Can you help me? I've tried a lot with warpers, vector dispacement shaders, redirect and so on, but with no results.
Thank you for your help,
Valentina

You can't have a pattern follow a curve very well. Lengthwise yes, but perpendicular (like railway beams), no. If you use a warped simple shape path (so not the way you got your path), you can warp the length pattern just like the path.

I've tried with a warped sss, but no results, no change in the pf pattern.. probably I'm doing something wrong.. I wanted those 'stripes' to follow(ish) the curve.

Dune

Check this out, very simple and fast, just to show the principle.

Many thanks, I were making a mistake, wrong warper I guess, i were close, but still not there. thank you

Dune

Do show us what you're making, if you get further with this.

Sure, I'm working on this aerial view.. still low quality of course. I'd be happy to hear any advice  :)
(the cube is just a proxy, it's supposed to be replaced with a car)

Awesome start here. I just shared a dirt road mask setup with ditches for things like this; mountain roads for the drainage to prevent washouts.

Thanks! Great, I'll check it out!
