Has anyone tried the new USB SSDs

I was thinking of getting one of these but wasn't sure if it's worth it. Does anyone have one? Is write/read really as fast as they say? I am looking for something relatively cheap so I can store new assets without having to delete some.

I've just bought a Samsung Portable SSD T5, which is very fast and easy. Came out well in reviews. USB as well.
