Dune

Early WIP of one of my commissions. It's supposed to be a very wet area, open to flooding from sea. Medieval mounds, defence tower and a distant monastery. This will result in a set of stereo views for a museum viewer.
Church and tower are sort of finished, but I still have to make appropriate bridges and ladders (to get into the tower). And dress it all.........

EDIT: and an interior of the tower.

Hannes

This looks already great!! If I wouldn't have known, the images are yours, I would have guessed it for sure. You definitely have your own style!

Maybe the torchfire of the interior could be improved a little?

sboerner

Stereo views. Cool project. 3D glasses or VR?

WAS

Looking good so far.

And I gotta say, it's pretty amusing that your characters are often "simple" looking. For some reason I always imagine grunt-like talking in place of any language that would be spoken. xD

I don't mean it in offense.

Dune

No offense taken whatsoever, but I don't quite understand what you mean by "simple" looking; like Neanderthals? These guys are farmers, not professors, but I also admit it's pretty hard to get very different face shapes, if that's what you mean. I am pretty happy I've come this far anyway (after having used XFrog for making farms for a long time :P  ), and unfortunately I don't have time to really sculpt faces.

WAS

Oh, no, well maybe the guy staring us down as we enter is has maybe Neanderthal-ish brows. But like. His smug face, his lurching posture, dude yelling, other dude just like "I'm just trying to put stuff in the celler, I dunno what's happening here" It's like civilized chaos.

On further thought it reminds me a lot of old story murals. Those long linear ones with everyone in motion/action/emotion.

Dune

Well, you're kind of right; there is a dispute going on in that dump. They probably squabble over the wife  :P That's the fun part, to have several characters in stock and put them together so each expression makes them communicate.

Balletdude

very cool.

here's a couple of stereoscopic images I created a while back.
You will need your phone putting in one of those viewer things, or you can scroll around with your finger. Had to upload to youtube to test (you can pause the video and it will still work

and one of my very first Terragen projects

(injected in the titles just means I have added the code to make it work as a stereoscopic 3d video)

Dune

Cool. Unfortunately I have no way of viewing stereoscopic images.

That's a really cool 360. I didn't know YouTube worked that way.

Balletdude

you have to inject a code into the video, to make it work. its all available somewhere in there info pages

Good to know it works like that. I've lost my 360ยบ page in html and Flash some time ago. I just found this https://www.cheetah3d.com/download/HTML5pano/ and will try to get it to work.

ps. Now I look like a spammer :P
