what is this arrow
does it always disconnect the Base Colors from the Planet?
and when i reconnect basecolors to planet nothing happens to the surface layer with the arrow in my objects internal settings?

I believe that means it's output connects elsewhere outside the internal network.

Correct. Sometimes a bit hard to find (which I've mentioned as a feature request earlier), as it can link to any internal node. I mention the link in my node title nowadays; "links to..."
