Earth again...

I'm still in my planetary phase...
I collected a lot of (mostly NASA-) reference images, and tried to make it as realistic as possible. All of the images I found looked rather different, so I created a somehow average look.

It is very difficult to make it realistic Hannes. Your earth seems imo to regular regarding the haziness in the atmosphere.
Please will you render some close-ups to see more in detail the surface, clouds, stratosphere and the sun reflection in the ocean?
This would give everyone the chance to judge more accurately your latest piece of work.

Many years ago I wrote a tutorial while trying to create a realistic earth in 3dsmax. Unfortunately it is written in German.
