The scene I rendering is from a low orbit and two mountains stand above the rest of the terrain. I have the sun very low on the horizon and want to know how I could make shadows in the atmosphere coming off of the mountain peaks. If anybody could help that would make my day.

dhavalmistry

ray tracing with high haze height
"His blood-terragen level is 99.99%...he is definitely drunk on Terragen!"

darthvader

would the haze height have to go above where I want the shadows or all the way above the camera?

dhavalmistry

no just enough to create the shadow....set it maybe 500m below the terrain height!
"His blood-terragen level is 99.99%...he is definitely drunk on Terragen!"
