If this works well, then the link Will posted would be the best way to go. Personally, I think the pro version, which allows direct output to .obj and other formats, is too expensive for what you get.
I've been using Flux Studio to do it (its free), which converts the Sketchup exports to .obj. However, I hate the roundabout way of doing it like this and would like a quicker/cleaner way. I'll be checking out Will's link soon.
