The purpose of this render was mostly for me to become more acquainted with the fake stones shader and how it works.  The stones themselves could probably use some more work, but I'm pleased with my progress so far.  Once Asundhar is back online, I'm going to download some desert-themed vegetation and add it to the scene.  Also, I was wondering what is the best way to add color to the fake stones shader.  Right now I am using a power shader to displace the surface to make it more interesting... but I'm not sure if the color is being changed at all really.  Any tips would be helpful :)

I did a little bit of post-processing in Photoshop, adding depth of field and messing with the brightness/contrast/saturation a little.  I really wanted to give a sense of scale in the image by having the rocks really close up in the front contrasted with the rocks further away that look much smaller.  I also thought it'd be pretty sweet to have 3 suns in the image cause I can :P  The render took about 17 hours or so at 1920x1200 which isn't too terrible.  I'll probably make some modifications to it to hopefully make the render better.

Great sense of scale.  Like where it's going.  Keep us updated with the next version.
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

Not many images actually make me feel like I am "there", but this one sure did.  Maybe its the DOF effect?  Nice work!
