Heres a go at some cumulus storm clouds, still a WIP but let me know what you think. I think theres still some problems with how the clouds intersect. Looks like the detail is getting blurred when two layers cross over.

I love the black and white version.
The world is round... so you have to use spherical projection.

The wide view and the composition of the third picture sells the story best for me. :)

rcallicotte

Brilliant work.  The black & white impressed me.  The third took my breath for a second.  Just beautiful.
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

I too love the black and white one, very impressive.

child@play

yep, the b/w image is adorable
perfection is not when there's nothing more to add, it's reached when nothing more can be left out

Thanks for the replies guys. I was looking for an Ansell Adams look to the BW image. Maybe in the same arena but a long way from the master. I'm away from my muscle PC for the weekend so theres not much I can do for now. More later. :)

All very good. Excellent use of the tree. I like the high contrast of the black and white one. They suffer from the blobby solid look with the cumulous clouds or at least the third definitely does e.g. the cloud on the right but other than that they are still excellent.

bri

I love the 3rd one and the angle.

The subtle streaks (shadows?) in the first one are really cool. Great work.
