The white canoe of the gods reaches Rapa Nui.
Post-processed and original.
I'll try to increase the lambert effect next turn.

Need some glow to the ice, whether the sun is shining or not.  That iceberg ice is WHITE...at least from a distance.
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

How can I add this glow effect? Do I use luminosity?? I'm rendering one now in which I increased the lambert effect and added some reflectivity (which is very subtle) but it still seems like a big wax hill...
Or mabe it's caused by the sun position which is at 90° in my scene...

I'm usind this image as reference:

Notice how the areas in shadow have the glow effect you mentioned, it seems to shine...

In your reference, it's the combination of the sun and the ambient light shining strongly.  I'm sure someone hear understands this better than I do, but I'd say a little glow would be good.  The thing is - these are ice crystals (crystals are like little shiny diamonds), which means there is a lot of reflecting going on all the way through the ice to the bottom of its icy tail.

I'll try to change the sun position and add a little luminosity to see what happens...
PS: I wish soo much better sun positioning features....

The 'glow' you see in this photo is light reflecting up from the other parts of the iceberg that are in direct sunlight. It could be simulated quite well with global illumination. I would also give the ice a slightly blue tint. With the size of that icerberg and the distance the camera is, subsurface scattering isn't really noticeable except maybe at some of the very corners.
Just because milk is white doesn't mean that clouds are made of milk.

OK Matt, just waitting for the end of the render to play a little more...

Why not try to apply the water shader to the iceberg, so it has some transparency, but not too much? Would greatly lengthen rendertimes though..
Howgh!

I'd also try increasing the GI amount and quality in this case ... say 3,4 respectively  higher amount = more effect in shadiws, higher quality = better variation/qualtiy
