Interesting.  I like the lighting and the point of view.  Stones need something...not sure what.
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

I like how desolate it looks, but I agree the bigger rocks have an odd oily sort of texture that doesn't quite fit with the dryness of the other stones.  That being said, I really like the shapes you are getting with your stones.

Here are some clip files that are probably overly crowded with color and displacement.  But, this means you only need to take away what you don't want.  These make excellent Surface Shaders for Fake Stones.

So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?
