So since my work locale has changed, I haven't really had a ton of time to focus on Terragen... not doing a whole lot of skybox work anymore, and the computer I dragged along with me is incredibly slow which isn't very conductive of the creative process.

But here's something I came up with nonetheless. It's really simple - almost plain - and it's by no means unique in any way. But it's been... a LONG time since the last time I posted anything, so here it is. Just a couple power fractal terrains, and a twist and shear.

C&C welcome, of course. In fact, I welcome everything negative you could possibly say about it, it's really the only way I learn to not do bad things. ;)

Render Time: ~19 HRS
Quality: 0.6

It's very creative for something so simple.  How did you get those rock formations (on the right) with only a couple of PFSs?
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

That chunk on the right was kinda close to the camera, so it got the smaller details really well. That layer had a feature scale of 0.5, lead-in of 2 and smallest scale of 0.05.

It's a first-generation AMD 64-bit proc... it's been so long since I got the thing that I don't remember it's crazy AMD numbering, but I do know it's ~2.0 GHz. lol I should really upgrade it someday.

It's simple, but I actually rather like it. The rounded terrain shapes are unusual and interesting, and there's good detail on that bit to the right, close to the camera. The specularity also adds a nice touch. The clouds are quite realistic looking as well. Not necessarily a scene with "purpose", but quite nice nonetheless. Welcome back. Now get a quad core and get in the game! ;)

Hah hah, don't tempt me! I'm trying to get a car in the near future... Ye olde Compy 486 is gonna have to do for a while. Though I could probably get a decent rig for pretty cheap...  ::)

Thanks for the thumbs-up guys. I'll start ramping it up!
