curling terrain

Trying to make a curling high wave (in terrain).
I thought something like this might work:
Any ideas about what I should be doing and where my connections should go ?


I'm not sure exactly how this is intended to get a curling wave (unfortunately the Function nodes continues to elude my understanding), but I do believe the Warp shader needs an input to the Shader port so that might be part of your problem.
