hmm had a quick look and not too impressed yet, first thing missing is Googles search box next to the address bar ... oh and its ugly too. Also looks like the default is to show you a visual thumbnail display of your most viewed, recently viewed pages in your home page. I'm sure the code junkies will get their kicks out of it and there may well be some interesting third party apps developed for it ...

i just stick with firefox its the best opera is just as good though i love its simple clean interface
also safari is good (very quick) so i dont think we need another web browser

I'm not even going to try it.
My irritation about Google is growing, although when it started I was very enthousiastic.
Be a nice web-searcher in all kinds of ways, but don't try to control every aspect of the inet..
Google already has itself 'elbowed' into too much apps already.
I use FireFox. If I install it, I have to disable some pushed Google functions first..

I'm using Chrome and it's not that bad.  It's pretty configurable, and the thumbnail thing is quite good (though, obviously it's a matter of personal taste).  The only problem is that no Java plugin is available yet, so I can't do my remote home-working thing, which requires Java.  So for that I have to revert back to IE7 (I'm a Firefox virgin).

the normal address bar is also the search box.  when you type things in it youll notice right under itll ask if you want to search google for it.

I like it, its pretty decent for a first try and only being out for a short bit now... should improve.

Cyphyr, in your opinion, does that mean that any images we post while using their browser means they can use it as they see fit?  I don't see how they could enforce that.  They may be referring to something else?

Well technically they can and already do... Your images already turn up in Googles image search function and I'm sure that even though this is useful none of us have even considered giving our permission. I'm sure they will use the data they collect to improve their service, how else can they put two identical sites in different rankings within their search. In order for Google to be useful they have to manipulate our data. Another example ... Planetside forum used to be down the bottom of page one, now its third from the top. This has been achieved through data mining techniques as has all of Googles services.  I mean who actually reads these TOS lol. I do wonder what would be the legal position if one of my images turned up on an image search and I had never used any Goolge product.In launching their own browser they have taken total control of the process and written our permission into it by default.
