here is another image i have finished i used worldmachine 1.25 standard for the terrain.
the flora i used was th floraworks Serbian spruce set
http://www.floraworks3d.com/index.php?/Trees/Serbian-Spruce-Picea-omorika/flypage.tpl.html
they render really nice in terragen 2 ;)

this took about 30 hours to render the water being the longest i had to actually stop the render because the water was rendering far far to slow so i had to crop the image a little ::)

crits welcome ;D

old_blaggard

I like the vegetation and its distribution, but the cliff sides seem a bit plain to me.

Agree with old_baggard. Really nice looking vegetation.

inkydigit

I agree with the above..great scene!

rcallicotte

Very nice.  It's nice overall and even without changing the plain walls, it look realistic.  Good job.
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

MacGyver

Is it Rocky I, II, III, IV, V or Balboa-Valley? :P ;D
Very nice rock surface; trees are really well placed!

thanks guys but what could i do to change the surface anyway more textures? maybe a couple of greys etc also do you think i should add a population of trees that will cover the to of the cliff?

inkydigit

for the vertical surfaces, maybe add some more 'lateral' displacements, maybe perlin billows and some voronoi?you could always add some sprinkles of fractal colourations too...just va suggestion!
:)

domdib

I like the cliffs, but the bluish shadow towards the left of the image creates a rather abrupt transition. Maybe dial down the haze? I also think there's probably some v nice POVs quite tight up against the cliffs from which to make other images.

I'd like to see some greenish ground cover among the trees. Too much of that uniform brown rock there. Could also so something with the lake shore color-wise. Could be a monumental render with some improvements.
