I really like the "Mars Render" animation. I understand all about MOLA data, etc., but what was your technique for obtaining the surface shading (colors and texture). Did you use the Viking mosaic?
It looks great. I am planning to do something simular but want to add detail like that seen in some of the current high res pictures of Mars that are available at
