Promising start, I'll keep an eye in this.

Interesting. Where does this strange noise come from? GI?

The noise comes from light sources interacting with the atmosphere.  It can be reduced by turning off Glow in atmosphere for the light source and using loads of atmosphere samples.  I have not found a way to get rid of it altogether.

I like where this is going those crystals are looking good.

Just keep in mind that you will probably not be able to scale them:

Keep it up.  This is cool.
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

Thanks to all!
And special thanks for your hint, Mr Lamppost.
It was already scaled,
here is an unscaled version:

Scaling won´t be a problem for single objekts, I can make them the size I want.
But I had something with populations in  mind, that could be a problem.
That strange noise inside the crystal (watershader) doesn´t disappear with higher quality, it just gets a little finer. reminds me of laser sparkling.
Until now I just made full renders with more than 0.35, little crops up to 1. Rendertimes are killing me.

Best regards,
Jan

If the tests I made hold true for all objects then scaling shouldn't be a problem as long as you start with the object at or close to the largest size you are going to need and scale it down.

I have mentioned this a few times but just in case you haven't seen it.  When you are making glass objects you have to make sure that the Double Sided Surface check box IS NOT ticked in the object's properties panel.
