Nice perspective. A little more texturing detail on the sand and rocks would have helped this image in my opinion, but overall it's nicely done.

Yes, o_b is right on this one.  More texturing and you might add a boat or something to show life on this island.
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

Thx for the comments.
Here comes the 2nd version:

very nice :-)
The water should be more blueish, I think. also the shore needs some foam. Lastly, the part of the beach that get's wet from the waves should be darker than the sand that stays dry.
A little bit of flotsam and jetsam could also add to the realism. As well as footsteps would. In the end, the captain of the little boat must have gone or come from somewhere, no ;D ?

Cheers,
Frank

hehehe... sorry for that ;)

Also, the wet sand should definately have a reflective shader added, it'll help blur the line between "water and sand" which is sharp in the image above.

I actually think the second version is very well done.

Thank you all for the positive feedback.

@Frank:
these are a lot of challenging suggestions, I will try....

@darthvader:
I found the boat at:

Yes, I know, some of these are not easy to do. But I am sure it is going to be an interesting journey :-)

In this version I tried to work in most of the considerations made by Frank.
Now we also can see what happened to the captain of the boat and why there are not footsteps in the sand...  ;)

Very nice. The wet sand effect is quite subtle. Clever way to avoid the footprints  ;)
