Here's my latest wip, River Bend. Inspired by a week in the Forrest of Dean although it seems to be going off in a more Ardeche direction  ;D There,s room for improvement all over the place, Tree populations (Xfrog unaltered), Cliff texture, Ground cover etc. I'd like to get some fore ground going but I'm having some difficulty with the terrain.

The terrain is made up from a procedural plugged in to a Heightfield generate > Heightfield Make River > Heightfield Erode >Heightfield shader > Strata and outcrops.

C&C very welcome, sort of looking for an inspirational direction :)

Cheers

Very nice terrain. My only suggestions are to make the grassy areas slightly darker and more textured, and to change the size of the river rocks. They look good but are too big and look out of proportion given the size and calmness of the river.
Looking good though.

I like this. To my eyes the scale seems wrong. The tall spires of rock look like they should be 1000s of m high not 10s but then I like things that challenge your perception. Great lighting and the water is just right. I agree with Kevin F about the grass colour, it seems a bit too..... solid somehow.

Can't wait to see where this goes.

I love the smell of caffine in the morning

Nice lighting and pov - I actually like the rocks, but I think it's the trees that are causing the scaling prob.  Maybe reduce their size?  Their distribution is grand.  Maybe vary grass colour through sub and child layers, rather than changing 1 colour which is perfectly valid :)

The image has some very real aspects to it indeed, but for me all the rocks in the water diminish the overall realism IMHO !!! If the water had some ripples in it like it has some current it would probably take care of some of that.

Pretty ground, beautiful composition, I have weak for the water which is perfect!
It seems to me right that the grass is too dense you should decrease the cover!

This isn't a photograph?  Wow.  This looks great.
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

some more species of tree, scaled down a bit, would make this fantastic...as is this is an excellent start!
