hi
I'm looking for information on the alpha channel that is produced when rendering a sequence...
there don't seem to be any docs on the subject and the images I'm getting (default scene) are a bit odd...
I'm getting an image that has white for the terrain, then white fading into blue(?) for the atmosphere...

how are others using these images, or are they?

I'm really trying to explore how Terragen can be best used with Houdini...and I'm not having much luck...
any advice?

thanks

Your alphas and a BMP of every image you render can be found under the Application directories under TG2.  I don't remember the name of the exact location.  You might find the name of the location by doing a search.
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

I'm specifying the location in the parameters of the render settings - so I know where they are...
I'm just not sure how others have been using them - if at all...

I think its to be used to be able to get just sky, or be able to crop out the ground super easy

There's definitely a fairly recent thread about this.
EDIT: Found it - just typed "alpha" into the Search: http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=6066.0
