Hi all

Just a little something I was messing around with. It started as an experiment to see if I could approximate daisy type flowers as viewed from a distance, without using objects. I think it worked sort of OK. In my head the camera is about 20 - 30m above the ground. I was aiming for a hazy summer day type atmo. Its all procedural. The darker area of grass to the right is my attempt at something you see here in Wales quite a bit especially on old quarry and mining sites where you will get patches of quite different type of grass from the surrounding areas, presumably due to differnt soil conditions being exposed due to quarrying / mining below? Anyway, hope you like. C&C always welcome.

I love the smell of caffine in the morning

Nice... I remember seeing those dark patches, from when I used to spend my summer holidays in Wales, when I was a nipper. The texturing is nice and depthy, hard to do with just procedurals.  I like the way you have incorporated brown dead/bare soil areas, this is really effective.
Cheers, Simon.
I just need to tweak that texture a bit more...
