You don't have the money for xfrog 3.5 try this http://ngplant.sourceforge.net/

Costaud

I forget to say although ngplants is a stand alone application it's more easier to use the Blender Python script you have more control within Blender here is the script http://www.geocities.com/bgen3/

Here is a really (and I mean really) quick test I made

Volker Harun

Very cool.  Finally I can start having plants other than Sweet Birch and Grand Fir :P.
http://www.terragen.org - A great Terragen resource with models, contests, galleries, and forums.

Here is another cool and easy program for plants and this one is also free http://www.kurtz-fernhout.com/PlantStudio/index.htm

Lucio

good resources, thank you costaud

ngplant looks intreasting, a few similar features to xfrog i noticed.     ;D

bgen3 would be nice as a standalone application as i stear very clear from Blender until they fix that awful UI. It's funny because i had a easier time using and understanding xfrog's UI then ever making sense with Blender. Heck, i could never even load a python script.   ::)

Anyways, ngplant is worth a go.

Thank You for finding that software.        ;D

Emerald_Ice

A total noob question methinks, but how do you export objects from plantstudio in .obj or .tgo format?
thanks

Costaud

For the export Planstudio seem to have problem with obj and Lwo (or maybe it's a bug with Terragen 2) so I use Poseray a wonderful FREE file converter, here my receipt first made your plant in PlantStudio and export it as a obj file (you could also use lwo file or 3ds file), second open your plant obj in Poseray, third save it as an obj file again and you can now use it in Terragen 2.
