Muddy Waters?

oddly enough it was supposed to be water but it came out as mud...I was quite sad...any suggestions?
AMD Athlon 64 @1.6 GHZ

ATI Radeon X1250

Render Times = Days...And in some cases weeks o.o

The water takes on the horizon color at times. It depends on the camera's angle above the water's plane.
