Haven't tried anything yet, rendering some GroBoto scenes first (see this tread).
After the next render I'm going to fiddle with this scene some more...

Changing the seed every frame would create just random crazyness. I would suggest trying a Transform Shader, using the Translate settings, and perhaps also adjusting some of the other water shape settings (depends on how you're setting it up).

yes the seed changing is bad looking but what about using some warping ? what do you think Oshyan ?

Yes, warping could work, although realistic motion would involve translation as well.

If you translate the shader in the Y direction, this animates the texture in an interesting way as the plane intersects the 3D noise function in different places.
