well I sent my entry in last night three times at around 10.30 pm to 11.00pm GMT and  nothing appeared.
I'll keep it for the next contest if there's enough interest and the subject suits.
Regards
Kevin.

And why aren't people submitting something for the contest?  Wow.  I expected a lot more entries.

Thats fine since I know you've been working on the render, just PM it to me either on these forums or the designpaths forums and I will add it to the voting thread.
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

Upload your entry here and PM me the direct link, and I can add your render to the thread.  The sooner the better.

Thanks Melting Ice. Just done it. Title "light at the end of the tunnel".
What does PM me mean?
Regards
Kevin

PM means "Private Message."
http://www.terragen.org - A great Terragen resource with models, contests, galleries, and forums.

Thanks old blaggard, I thought it might be but hoped it wasn't - yet more ruination of the language! message is a noun not a verb!
Kevin.

Trust me, I know that  :P  My grammar is normally very good but on the internet I like to take shortcuts so that I don't have to type as much.  Are you going to email me the render?  I got your email but I need a render to enter into the contest for you.  Is it done rendering yet?  If not, then how much longer will it take?  If it's easier for you, just email me your render.

Ohh I see what you did.  You forgot to include the url to the image itself :P
It's ok though I can just get it via FTP.  I just added it to the thread, so you're good to go  ;)

sure...I have a suggestion.....

how about recreating this image (of course without the waves)

http://rapidshare.com/files/21717211/60565_poster2000.jpg

or something easier so that people who are new to TG2 can also participate (In other words get larger audience than last time)

Thats a pretty sweet photo, but I'm wondering how many people will be able to do it.  Luckily the palm tree is a publicly available model, so there won't be any issues there.  I'd like to hear some feedback on this one from other people if possible.

Obviously you wont be able to create something exactly like the photo.....but something similar would be good....

for example: a palm tree sticking out from right side and the sun should also be on the same side (right hand side) at very low elevation....

maybe colour and water can be different and of course no post work, not even lens flare...

besides...wouldnt the contest be about how close you can get to the photo and HOW??

maybe a cloud or orbital render contest, since the last was terrein.

The world is round... so you have to use spherical projection.
