Lengthy video, and only a concept right now.  But if it goes to production could be cool.
Combines mouse activity and touch screen interaction from a flat screen tactile keyboard.
Think iPod touch meets a keyboard, oh - and it eats your mouse!

- enjoy!  -  Bill .

kinda cool... but i mean, half the niceness of a mouse is being able to use one hand ont he keyboard one hand on mouse really easy... with this thing that could be awkward.

theres lots of obsticals to overcome... mainly people being used to what they like... why do you think so many people still use ie? and windows? and microsoft office?

I don't want my girlfriends kids hands on the monitor. I think this will be an option. Microsoft Vista supports touch now, but you do not need to use it.

Forget Tuesday; It's just Monday spelled with a T

If they included an option to quickly change the pad into a touch keyboard it might be alright but I don't like the con10uum idea. If you had 20 web pages open, as I often do, it would take ages to scroll through them. Windows has gotten pretty good at sorting and arranging them with jump lists and app switching. You can just click on the application and then the specific instance of it that you want to look at. That's the main weak link of this idea for me.
Figured out how to do clicky signatures

The screen changes into a keyboard like a new Blackberry storm and others do.
I would imagine that they would leave "tabs" per say, in this, other wise it would be very slow.

The screen changes into a keyboard...

A flat keyboard like surface that changes can maybe make this to happen...But in the early 90's we thought that  we 10 years latter would control the computers with sound...
Nearly 20 years and it is unfortunately only kinda here...
İf i  can see the other 20 years...hmm...you know what i mean.

Thanks for the link :)

Saw this previously on another site. Some good discussion there:

My response is there.
