Here are some tests of Terragens erosion function and the exported exr files from the generated heightmap, not sure where this is going yet, suggestions?? ;)
Enjoy and C&C welcome.

It's interesting to see the erosion function.... it's so slow, I have hardly bothered with it.
Simon.
I just need to tweak that texture a bit more...

Nothing much to say. It is nice .
With a little cloning and pixel pushing on these maps i think you can make your own custom non random mountain and mountain chains.

Try adding some ridged perlin noise. It would be nice if you could make the noise perpendicular to the bright parts of the images. It could be used to make erosion channels down the sides of the mountains/hills.
The landscapes are interesting. I know this is experimenting, but adding plant populations into the ridge bottoms and sides would make them look more interesting.

Too bad you did not continue on these tests. These are very realistic. Just add some more color variations and some additional fine scale displacement, some trees and bushes. What is convincing about these is the simple fact that geomorphism is happening with deposits everywhere.
