So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

interesting, indeed. But the thick british dialect of the narrator... brrr. ;D

I find it funny. During my average day, I speak english most of the time. Not my mother tongue though. So I get to speak with people from all over Europe, the UK (not really Europe, no €€), and the US. Of all nations that speak english as their primary or secondary language, I find the british hardest to understand. Really :)

Henry Blewer

This is true. The British Isles are not that large geographically. But travel 50 miles, and the way the language is spoken can change dramatically.

That's because the rest of you are striving towards a version of English which has been averaged out, slowed down, made easier to understand, and is less true to the original dialects which together form the true English language ;)
Just because milk is white doesn't mean that clouds are made of milk.

Matt, you should hear someone from Brooklyn NY. They speak very fast, with all sorts of terms no one else would use. Sort of like your cockney accents from London.

If we could only get our spelling to be easier. I'd like to add more vowels please...

believe me, your spelling IS easy. And what the heck do you want with more vowels, if you want to make spelling easier? Sound like Tarzan maybe? ;D ;D ;D
I seem to recall he used a lot of vowels, like 500 of them concatenated after one another ;D

Henry Blewer

Well, America may be converting to Chinese characters in the future. :D
