Hi Everybody,

My very first animation ever with TG2 :)

It's a bit fast, I know, a bit like an explosion ;D

Cheers,

Hmmm...I noticed the playback is a bit bumpy...shall post the original on ashundar terragen.org :) as well (320x480 res)

looks great Martin!

Thanks Jason :) as you can see I've uploaded the original video at ashundar, enjoy!

I watched it on YouTube. Very nice. It would look great for steam locomotives, though it may be hard to do the physics correctly in T2.
The playback was not jerky, but it was not smooth. It could be the quickness that the clouds 'boil' at.

Forget Tuesday; It's just Monday spelled with a T

Thank you Henry!
Would you mind comparing the playback with the original on your pc? I think it has to do with youtube as well.
Thanks in advance.

Hah!  That's so cool - great job :)

Great, really cool :)
What parameters did you alter to get "Boiling"?

No problem Martin. I'll post here when I have looked at it.

Thanks Eoin and Richard :)

Richard, I animated the following parameters:

increasing edge sharpness(1)
increasing density(1)
increasing coverage adjust in cloudfractal(2)
decreasing color-adjust gamma of cloudfractal(2)
increasing mixing of a second fractal(3)
a translate function for moving the cloud(4)

1 = to "harden" the clouds
2 = to boil up / grow the clouds
3 = extra detai
4 = without this it would look too static

Pretty much for a first anim, but I thought "if I'm going to do it, I have to do it "the right way"...as far as I'm able to".
This is really fun to do :)

Cheers,
Martin

MacGyver

Could be used for an eruption too I think :)
...and now for a planetwide animation of the trade winds! ;D

Looks like a time lapse . Nice  :)

Kadri.

Thanks Kadri :)
That's exactly as it is meant, otherwise it would be a bit boring ;) unless you make it span for an hour, which would be rather difficult to render ;D
