This scene emerged from grappling with Linda's Shroom .tgd, using Frank's hint that the displacements could be applied to the Crater shader (although I must say, it took a lot of tweaking to get something that didn't break up)

Other Credits: Chris Stein (Ogre) for the wonderfully detailed G'Quan heavy cruiser model, available at Ashundar
inkydigit, for the brass shader clip file (in File Sharing).

Thanks for the comments everyone.

@Eoin - the terrain network is a little bonkers - made more by trial and error from working with Linda McCarthy's .tgd - see below.

@Martin - the brass reflections aren't raytraced, as it's surfacing on the terrain.
