If you drop the 3D glasses, many apps including Blender have multi-res sculpt functionality. It's very easy to create a mesh which is immense if you are not careful.

...and then Blender has wonderful retopo tools to create a lower res mesh. B.t.w., there is a video of a Blender sculpting a 46 million polygon mesh...

I have seen the 3D glasses for 3D tv as low as $50.00 in some of the CES show articles. I had XSpecs 3D on my Amiga, but they were about $200 in the late 80's.

maybe but, for example, a phantom freeform modeling system cost between 6000s and 28000$ so i guess it will be more expensive than 50$

I am sure that the software will be a wallet buster. They will probably ask a premium for the hardware also. 3D manipulation is a large step above flicking CCD shutters over each eye; which is what the tv stuff does. XSpecs used this also.

If you ask me it isn't expensive for such a system . Surely expensive for me

But 3-5 years later it will come down in the end .

wow that's pretty amazing. It would be cool to try but might be awkward to really use.
