Heightfield: Make River - what do the parameters mean?

I know this node is experimental and all...

I'd just like a one-line documentation of what the various parameters (cut depth, start and end altitude, etc) mean. I've figured out half or so by simply playing around, but I'm not certain I got it all right and there are some that still elude me.

To sum it up, this is still being worked on but I have seen people do some cool pictures with this.
This is my guess on these parameters because I haven't done much with this in a while.
The start/end position/altitude are the coordinates for the river. It will start here and make its way to here by taking the shortest way along the terrain.
cut depth is how deep the river is.
cut angle is the angle of the bank so to speak
cut distance is how wide the river is.

Forum, please correct me if I'm wrong.

There is also the start altitude and end altitudes. They depend on the type of scene you are making. I wish this had a 'generate river' button. It is hard to chnage the settings when the river is carving.

I copy the coordinates of the start of the river first. Then pick a location where I think it will end nicely for the render. The river will carve around the highest areas of the heightfield.

This operator may work well for making canyons. The Pallisades images I have done recently made me think this.
