Apparently DandelO and Martin/TU were going back and forth about DO's use of masking for river/ water features, and Martin said his technique was a bug or not possible. DO must have flamed and left after showing examples of reduced render times. It looks like it works. Look at the render times.

and again, I hope that this sentence is not the reason to leave the place because it might rings tough but it is not that bad $:-\$

wow that's pretty conspiracy-ish.... "NWDA effect"... I don't like that association with a probably very personal decision, that has nothing to do with this terragen resources site at all.

Personally, I find this development pretty mysterious, and I have dropped him a mail because I'm curious, too.
