Hey, I'm pretty new to terragen 2. I've been working on a scene with snow capped mountains, and an imported f-22 model from Maya. The import worked flawlessly, and everything is going great except for my object populations! I cannot for the life of me seem to be able to make an object population that is anything but a square. i would like to have trees everywhere leading up to where the mountains turn into rock, and was hoping that i could just do it with height constraints or some such, but i have had zero luck thus far and it appears that in order to achieve the desired effect as my knowledge stands i would need numerous populations lined up around the edge of where i want the trees to cut off and i'd still probably end up with a hard line!... Any help is appreciated!

You'd have to tick the 'blend by shader' box in the population and make a distribution shader. In here you can set heights and slopes. To check where the 'mask' is, attach the distribution shader to the color input of an extra surface layer right at the end of the line, before planet, and you'll see the white area of your chosen heights. Hope this is a start...
