This one was supposed to a fall image. I am working on the tree populations. It was also supposed to be more local to where I live, but the rock looks more Adirondack or Catskill's. I like the way the rock came out, so I am not going to change that. The clouds are just to breakup the light and sky for now.

I have the trees sorted out, though at this resolution it's hard to see. I think the clouds are better.

Sometimes it happens you know , Njeneb . Everyone looks but don't comment on it.
I for one  would have commented on the rocks...
They don't look real for me and i can not imagine them as real rocks (how they would look in the real world).

But you said " I like the way the rock came out, so I am not going to change that. "  So what should i say  ;)

The new image looks better. But i still don't like the rocks  , sorry  :)

Walli

Hi,

I think some variations of the green would be nice, to me it looks to similar at the moment. Second version is already better than the first (tree distribution).
About the rock - first time I looked at the image I thought this rock would be directly in front of camera - on the second sight I see that its in the distance. To me it made the scene hard to read. Looking forward to a higher res rendering!

Henry Blewer

Thanks Walli. There is a place on the left side which may be interesting to render. I may try a render there with your suggestions. It is a little too 'large' with the brown.

I increased the object sizes and changed the POV. I like this version much better.

very nice pov
some of the trees have a really good lighting and colours (upper part of the render)
i hope to see more of this !
some grass maybe ?

Henry Blewer

The grass is there. It's the green part ::). It all blurred together. I am mostly happy with this. I think changing the lighting to a lower angle will be cool. I may move the camera to make the ridges more apparent also. This is actually quite steep in places, but it looks flattened.

Now this looks very good. The POV is great!

Seth

yes i saw, but maybe more present ?
if it covers a bit more the grenn surface, i think it would look more realistic ^^
maybe i am wrong on this :)

Gannaingh

I really like the farther away trees in your latest version, they look really realistic!

Henry Blewer

I'll render a small POV tonight of a closer view of the grass.

I like the second one; and, I think you might try a multiple of populations changing the colors slightly to produce more variation.

Dune

Nice one, Henry. At first glance very photographic and a great POV. More tree variety would do it good, and perhaps something manmade (a dilapadated log cabin?).
