very early stage, not even TG yet. Thanks from JW to JM for reference!
Model is soon to be finished, texturing and then TG shading still to be done.
I have absolutely no idea what this is :D
any hints?

i dunno man, but those tentacles freak me out, a bit :D :D
i hope they dont get animated. ;D
I am not up on desert plants... But I would guess this is a flowering succulent, a cactus of some kind.
I am not the one feeding and watering that thing ;-)
its being fed too? we might be too late, it could have developed a taste for humans! ;D :D
8) Looks very promising.
It looks like you're using blender. 8) Looks quite interesting!
A plant? :D
not Blender, Cinema4D is my weapon of choice. But I am always looking at Blender, because it does a lot for free.
Some more steps are done. basic texture for Schlangi is done, and the "pox" are in place
looks much better, 8) looking forward to seeing it done.
i like the texturing too, :)
"Schlangi"..... ;D ;D ;D
you know that I sometimes choose strange names for my plants ;-)
latest version, still some work to do. By the way - prepare for download. But I don“t take resposibility if this thingy bites you ;-) And thanks to JM for inspiration!
It will be perfect for desert landscapes. It does have a certain 'Wetbannana' look. I'll bet he makes an excellent alien render using this. :)
little unvisual update - tomorrow is export/import/render time and then you can put your hands on this what ever it is. Or probably better not put your hands on it. ;-)
or wear gloves!

this is gonna be cool! cant wait to render it!
Great looking cacti-ish plant. I'll have to put something together to show this off. Thanks so much for sharing!
This looks like a 'Euphorbia' plant. Beautiful work Walli. Hope it becomes available sometime.
yes, available right now: http://www.wallis-eck.de/2009/?p=678

Thank you Walli, this is an excellent model. This family of plants are my favorite; and, would like to see more of desert plants.
Cinema 4D looks like it does a nice render. 8)
1000 dollars worth of nice render, indeed! Just as well! ;)
I wish I had a package that enabled me to use my Xfrog from within. Will there be an Xfrog stand alone update?
Cool plant, Walli!
At first I thought what the *** is that? It looked like some plastic contorted thingy. But after seeing your final render I'm amazed. What a beautiful plant! Perhaps I never looked good enough. But I immediately downloaded, before you change your mind :P Thanks a lot, Walli, for this really great object!
I was looking forward to it when I figured out it was a succulent of some type. Thanks for the work on this Walli!
yes, Selenicereus obtineriis is similar to the species found on earth ;-)
